We are always looking for additional support in order to deliver our projects across the East Riding.
Do you have a few hours that you could spare? Would you like to help make the East Riding Dementia Friendly? Do you enjoy helping others? If you answered yes to all of these questions then we would love to hear from you!
Dementia Friendly East Riding Volunteers
We are keen to expand our team of volunteers to help make the East Riding a wonderful place to live and work for those people living with dementia. We are always on the look out for committed volunteers who are willing to give up some spare time to help with our many projects. It is likely a close friend or family member has seen the effects of dementia, or maybe living with the condition themselves, together we can make a difference.
What does being a volunteer involve?
As a volunteer you could be involved in organising events, marketing our charity, visiting local care homes, providing admin support or simply giving your ideas to enable us to develop. We are looking for volunteers who are good communicators, enjoy engaging with people and groups, are understanding and patient with people. Becoming a volunteer provides a great opportunity to make a difference in your community, supporting vulnerable people with additional needs. Importantly you will learn new skills and meet new people.
How do I become a volunteer?
A volunteer will be 18+, must provide two references and take part in an informal interview. Time commitment is flexible, normally 2-3 hours per week, however this will vary depending upon your role.
Please get in touch using the contact form on this page, you will then receive an information pack which will include an application form. If you do require additional advice please contact by email in the first instance on firstname.lastname@example.org
